I have neuralgia. It is also calld suicide disease because it is so painful. I have been on Lyrica and Neurotin but they don't help much except making me feel spaced out. Does anyone know of any other medication that would help with this disease without the wierd side effects?

I have been on Neurontin too with unpleasant side effects. Let your doctor know about the side effects and (s)he can prescribe an alternate drug. Sometimes, you have to try several before you find the one that works best for you with the least side effects. We all metabolize drugs differently. I went through 4 distinct prescriptions before my doctor and I found the right one.
Patient differences is why we need the "art" of medicine. As patients, we have to communicate to our doctors so they can do better at helping us.
I would ask a MD on that one.. you dont want to make it worse or get any crazy side effects!! especially with the nickname suicide disease!
