Why do I have pain in right shoulder?
Question:

You need to go to a specialist and not this one who told you to deal with it. That is so unprofessional. I myself was in need of a total hip replacement and was told to deal with it because I was to young to have it, I sought out a more qualified and respected doctor and I had the surgery. There is no need to live in pain and have a poor quality of life when there are many alternatives to pain. I also have had both shoulders operated on because of the Ac joint being arthritic and a rotator tear. Please go to another doctor. You should also be in physical therapy to help you from freezing the shoulder.
You may have a pinched nerve, I was in a car accident 20 years ago and have the same pain as you,now it makes loud popping noises and get sharp pains all the way to my hand and have numbness,so I know how you feel. I use the Icy Hot Patches from Walgreens and they help alot,And I take advil. Thats about all you can do. I have had the pain for 20 years and still do. sucks
First of all, I just want to say I am sorry you are having to deal with this, especially with the pain.
Second of all, do not accept an outlook of "just have to learn to deal with it." This is something that happened to you suddenly, which is a hint that something went wrong!
I am not a doctor, but I am in the medical field, and here's what I think happened: You may have damaged a nerve when you lifted the heavy object. You may have even pinched a nerve in your back. We have nerves that run along our spine, from the top of your neck down to the bottom of your spine. At each level, nerves branch out to control different parts of our bodies. You may have pinched a nerve in the part of your spine that runs out to your shoulder. If the MRI was only of your shoulder and not of your spine, it would not have shown a problem in your spine.
I would strongly recommend seeing a specialist, possibly an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon and seek a second opinion about your pain.
Furthermore, since this pain specifically happened due to something work-related, I do hope you have filed a worker's comp claim and that they are paying for your doctors' visits related to this pain. (Incidentally, do not let anyone at work intimidate you or try to keep you from filing a worker's comp claim. That is what WC is for, and it is regulated by your state. It is your right!)
Good luck with everything, and I hope you receive some relief. Pain that keeps you up at night is the absolute worst, and you need your rest so you can care for yourself and your children!
maybe you should see a chiropractor.they spend more time with you than a gp, and are more willing to help aleviate your pain symptons. In the meantime try rubbing aspercreme full strength on at bedtime and use moist heat to ease the pain. I got a bag that you put in the microwave at the drugstore and it works really well. You can also try an ice pack and see which works best for you.
