At night i get a tingling feeling?

Question:
at night for the past few days. I think it has happened twice so far. I get this weird tingling pain sensation near the left rib and throughout my chest but only on the left and right side. It is hard to move during that time and i think i eventually move. I am not sure if it is a dream or real. I want to know why this happens and am scared to sleep. Also i am 15 and fit and play basketball yet my diet might not be the best. I am kind fo scared to sleep. Also i have anxiety.

Answers:
Hi--even though you are only 15 and an athlete--please remember you hear of athletes dying right on the track, court and field EVERY DAY. This is because they have an abnormality that is congenital which means you were born with. Most of them have no signs at all that they 'PAY ATTENTION TO" prior to their demise. The fact that the tingling feeling is in your chest with pain means something is not right. PLEASE tell your mom and have her take you to a good doctor and get a major physical--which includes a stress test for your heart- and what that test basically is you walking/running on a treadmill - exercising and they monitor your heart rate, rhythm and then they inject you with a medicine and then take picture of your heart....it is really important that you have a complete cardiac work up before you start playing basketball again. And don't worry, at your age, anything can be fixed usually by medications so it will NOT keep you from sports....but if you don't get a good physical it could mean your life, and I don't mean to scare you, but that's how it is.
Just see your doctor and tell him or her what is going on.
