Answers:
Well, what really hurts is when they inject your toe with Novocaine, because they stick the needle way down along the sides of your toe multiple times.

But I've never had another since, so I would suggest it.
"Ingrown toenail" is actually a misnomer. The nail always grows the same and in a straight line, what happens is that the skin around it gets irritated and then the side of the nail rubs against it and hurts. There are people who say cut your nail longer or different, but the real problem is that you get infections under the nail - the best way to deal with them is to cut them short, not long. Then put neosporin or other cut creme in the affected area for a few days, they will go away. Then after that make sure you regularly trim your nails, clean your feet often and carefully each day in the shower and don't let junk sit under them. David.
get a good pair of toe nail clippers not fingernail get the ones that look like wire cutters in a way and cut out as much of the hurting area's toe nail.

Then cut a v in the middle of the toenail and it will grow towards center to fill in the V thus stopping the ingrown part
