is doing this bad for me?
or will my body adjust after time?

Answers:
You can do that, but it's not that good for you.

As long as you don't wake up in the middle of REM sleep, though, it's not that bad. I naturally wake up at around 7:30, and if I go back to sleep -which I do alot- I'm really groggy for the rest of the day.

The average person needs 7-8 hours. Try going to bed at midnight. Evaluating what you're doing is important. I inherited a bad trait from my dad: both of us stay awake for the sake of not going to sleep. Watch crap TV even though we're tired, read books we're not interested in, in my case play a game I'm bored with, but we both know that as soon as we put whatever we're doing down, we'll be tired.

Any habit is hard to break, your body learns to function with what's available.
Ask any mother. We all live on about 4 (typical) to 6 (lucky ones) hours of sleep.

The only mothers I ever knew to sleep longer than 6 hours, had kids always dirty, hungry, and whiney.
No. This is definitely bad for you. I had a schedule like yours when I was younger, and I was sick all the time and totally run down. Please take care of yourself! It sounds like your body is very confused right now. Get a healthy amount of sleep and eat healthy and exercise; you might be amazed at how good you feel. Be very careful, because lack of sleep can cause serious problems like depression and fibromyalgia, not to mention you could get in a car accident from nodding off at the wheel or something like that.
Your body adjusts. I have many successful friends who have done this.
It's not mentally or physically good for you to deprive yourself of sleep. It's a necessity. You should be going to bed no later than midnight if you have to be up at 6. Your immune systems goes down, you'll become moody and irritable. It's basically wearing yourself out. There are more side effects, you should talk to your doctor.
