Question:
k so i had a meningitis vaccine along with blood tests a biopsy of my finger and my stitches removed on thursday, so i did not think the shot would be the thing that hurts me the most. I am very good with handling pain but 4 days later I still have soreness in that arm and i cant use my fingers on that hand as well as my other, the arm feels numb and tingly, i dont have fever but i feel fatigued, the symptoms seem to hvae gotten much better but they are still bothersome, I am going to call the doc tommorow, but anyone know what it could be or what i should do
Answers:
Up to about half of people who get meningococcal vaccines have mild side effects, such as redness or pain where the shot was given. so that seems normal.
As you know when you get the vaccine you are actually give nt virus that causes Meningitis... and if you had it omg you would want to die! My sister had it one summer and was soooooo sick. poor kid wanted to die! Combination of meds and pain can wear ya out...
I am glad that you are going to the dr tommorrow- I would hate fort you have meningitis and it be missed...
just try and rest, put some ice on the arm or a warm cloth f
That shot hurt SO bad when i got it last year! It hurt for a couple days, but it didnt rlly get numb down on my fingers or feel tingly. I think soreness is normal tho, but just call your doc and ask if your symptoms are normal.
