Does anyone have any experience taking tramadol & hydrocodone together? I have a kidney stone and need relief.

Question:
I took the tramadol about 5 hours ago and I am still hurting. I am scared of bad side effects. I have googled and came up with conflicting answers. Does anyone have any experience with these pain relivers? Thanks so much!

Answers:
tramadol you can take every 6 hrs so if in ur 5th hr you were still hurting taking the hydrocodone would be ok if you have taken narcotic pain relivers before and tolarate them well
but dont take both of them at the same time because i know like before i have been told take oxycotin and percocett for the break thru pain so i believe u can take hydrocodone every 4-6 just try to keep on top of the pain dont take them both togther hydrocodone is stronger just take that and cut out the tramdol do that till monday and see the docter and what he recommends or if u dont beleive the ppl on here you can call a local er and ask
Go. To. The. Doctor. Monday.
Or if you can't wait until Monday because it is that bad, you may consider going to the hospital. Are you really going to listen to advice of people you don't even know? They might say it's ok all day long, but there might be something they don't know about your health history that could end up hurting you if you do it. Just wait out the pain if you can, until you can get to the doctor. Otherwise, consult someone at your local hospital.
you may take them together. you may feel tired but you will get a lot of pain relief.
i, too, am on tramadol, but i also take methadone. i am trying to get off everything but it isn't working very well.
i hope you will feel better soon, and as soon as you can stop taking everything, or you too, will be all strung out like i am, i hate it so much!
My husband had a really bad break in his left leg and took both at the same time by accident. (Took the hydrocodone, forgot, and then took the tramadol.) He ended up with a terrible stomach ache and a high feeling for 6 hours. I am so sorry you are hurting, but I don't suggest taking them together. Can you use a hot pack or something? Take a bath? I know that kind of thing probably doesn't help, but it's better than the side effects of both pain killers.
Good luck!
ive suffered from numerous kidney stones. a few ive ended up in the ER for, a couple i took care of at home simply by drinking alot of beer. it numbs the pain and pushes alot of fluid through. sounds stupid, but it really does the trick. ah, please note... dont take my advice and remain medicated... thats a bad bad idea.
You will be absolutely fine as far as the mixing of the 2 goes. Alot of people that I know from Pain Management take Tramadol to supplement another "main" pain reliever that they are taking. I take 10mg methadone along with either 50 or 100mg of tramadol depending on my pain level.
Just be aware that you are adding "more to the mix" and you will feel a little more groggy
Hope you feel better soon!!
Probably ok to mix them, but be careful that you don't take more than a couple each.
