Could someone who had discs five and six removed during back surgery June 20, 2006.?

Question:
go on rides at Disney World (Orlando) such as Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain?

Please don't tell me to call the doctor. He is retired now and our trip is tomorrow. Just give me your opinion.

Answers:
Absolutely not. Just because the back has been stabilized does not mean it should be subjected to the forces the rides subject you to.

I just had microdisectomy (just cleaning the edge of the disc) of L-5/S-1 about 3 years ago and I would never take a chance going on rides anymore.

GOOD LUCK!
The answer would be yes. When the discs were removed the bones were fused. This is a must because otherwise he would have had an unstable back and likely would be paralyzed by now. His back is fused, and stable and it would be no problem. Have a good time.
I would be very careful of doing this! I think it will be fine on smooth rides such as Splash Mountain. Beware of jerky rides, such as Space Mountain.
