Why does my tongue burn after eating pineapple?
Question:
Answers:
Because you are deficient in vitamin B2 (Thiamine) - eat more foods rich in this vitamin - peas, beans and lentils, peanuts, yoghurt...... :0)
This will also solve the problem of cracked lips, splitting skin around your fingernails, grainy and sandy feeling eyes!!
CHEERS
you are probably allergic to pineapple
yeah ur allergic... thats what happens 2 me and im allergic
so dont eat pineapple anymore, ok, if you continue to do so, your body's reactions might get worse (i.e. from tounge burning to hives)
Your tongue tingles and burns because of the citrus acid in the pineapple. You aren't necessarily allergic to it, just sensitive to it.
You ate too much, and burned the tissues with citric acid.
It happened to me a couple weeks ago--it was so yummy I ate too much of it.
You are NOT allergic--it happens to everyone if they over do it!
Believe it or not, pineapple is one of the most acidic fruits out there... I have a friend whose tounge will bleed if he eats too much of it.Its just allergies, if you can take it, you can eat it I would imagine. I have never heard of someone who could die from eating it or anything..peanuts maybe, but not pineapple.
Sometimes the acid in pineapple can be very potent, if you find that you have a skin rash then it is most likely that you are allergic to pineapple. Im not saying dont eat it if you like it, just moderate how much you eat and you should be fine.
