LPN transition from Puerto Rico to U.S. (I need info)?

Question:
My uncle has been working as LPN in Puerto Rico for 15 years. He wants to know if he could find a job as LPN in United States where he could use his licence obtained in Puerto Rico. What would be the process of transition? His years of work in Puerto Rico are valid here? He still can retire with 20 years of service? Where could I find all information needed so I could help him to find a job in the states?
He currently work for the state government in a General Hospital and he has a lot of experince in ER, Psychiatry and Intensive care. I will appreciate any type of help from this forum.

Answers:
In most cities there are hospitals that would love to have your uncle work for them. Some will help you over come any transition problems. I think there is reciprocity with Puerto Rico. Pick a city he would like to live in and contact the hospitals in the area. Salaries and benefits are generally good. Two problems. His English must be good to very good and he will lose his 15 years towards benefits the new hospital might pay.
