Sleeping Aids?

Question:
I bought some 50mg diphenhydramine hydrocholoride (basic Equaline sleep aid). It says to take one. I want to sleep fast and well. Is it safe to take two to be sure? (PS I know all you doctors out there will say just follow the directions on the box, and I know that's what you're supposed to do all I'm asking is if it's safe to have a little more.)

Answers:
First of all I would answer you question with a question. Do you take any other medications? If the answer is yes I would be very careful in taking any more than one. And if you have any alcoholic beverage do not use this product at all. Sleeping pills and alcohol and do not mix. If you take more than what is recommended than you are taking a chance of overdosage which can cause you to go into a light coma. I would not suggest it at all.
Take only one sleeping pill, if you take more, the consequences could be harmful. From http://nosleep.in/sleepingpill.html...
yes. it is in over the counter benadryl. some people take extremely high amounts for the hallucinations and are ok. you should be fine with 100 mg however it won't help you fall asleep faster of stay asleep longer. if anything you'll feel a little hung over in the morning.
