Trouble breathing?

if your overweight it could be the the way you lay causing the weight to press down you ur lungs. not saying to b mean, just trying to b helpful. it could b a problem in ur nasal cavity, something like a deviated septum. it could be that you have sleep apnea. generally unless you have a medical problem, your body doesn't typically "forget" to breathe. it's an involuntary function, so even if ur tired ur body would not allow u to just forget to breathe, again unless you have a medical problem. or are you having nightmares or something?? or weird dreams?? dreams and nightmares can affect ur breathing while dozing and sleeping. there are just tons of things that could cause shortness of breath like that, you might consider going to the doctor to ask because it could b something serious with ur heart. you just never know until you ask a professional, and breathing problems aren't something to mess around with, so if the problem persists i would get checked out just to b safe
No, not me, sorry. I've heard from my mom that when she is having a nightmare and dreaming of either being killed or strangled, that she wakes up gasping for breath.
It could be sleep apnea. See your doctor and tell them this happens. they will get you scheduled for a sleep study. Don't ignore the problem. Its treatable . If you don't get treatment you can get some pretty serious problems if it is sleep apnea and goes untreated.
Some people do have a form of sleep apnea in which the center in their brain that controls breathing does not function properly and they do indeed stop breathing. Its the same thing that happens with babies, but in them its called SIDS.
No i haven't but if you wake up from a nightmare...maybe getting murdered or comittiting suicide or losing a child some how.anything thats a nightmare can cause heavy breathing. Also if ou are over weight that can cause heavy breathing and snoring.
