Answers:
Headaches have triggers. It's best to investigate those triggers.
It would be best to look at what changed near the time you got the headaches. Knowing triggers would help and so would knowing where and what the headache feels like.

To little or too much sleep might be a cause, might not.
Something you have just started eating. Certain foods can be triggers. An example Neutrasweet or Aspertame.
Smells, mold, mildew.
New laundry detergent on bedding.
Sinus infection.

A sinus headache. Best uneducated guess. Sinus headache medication will relieve it. Generally pain medication won't.
It could be the vertebra in your neck need adjusting. Try a chiropractor, their great. I had the same problem and its gone now thanks to my chiropractor.
I think you might be getting the flu a lot of people have been getting it see a doctor just to be sure.
Could be your pillow is either too high or too low, and your getting neck/head pains from that, or it could be that you grind your teeth at night, and the headaches are referred pain from your jaw.
this may sounds strange, but i have a teacher who gets headaches because he gets too much sleep. his body onl allows him to get 5 hours of sleep a day because if he gets any more than that he wakes up with a head ache. unfortunately, years of this has brought him to being capable of consuming large amounts of coffee throughout the day, so watch out.

and you can always consult a doctor...
Have you been eating well lately, or anything different in your diet? Stimulants like caffeine or alcohol? Stress lately?

New pillow or bedding?
sounds like possible dehydration..is probably what it is... drink a glass of water before you go to bed and first thing in the morning.

if you wake up with neck pains then it is probably from using the wrong pillow...

really it could be many things.. if you are very concerned with it you should see your doctor... or a chiropractor for an adjustment...
dehydration??
or sometimes if you stop drinking coffe you can get headaches because your body is so used to it and now it's gone.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Acidity or heat and probably constipation/inflammation of intestines or cough causing overwight is cause of your H/A.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
