How long does the pain last after getting a root canal?

Question:

Answers:
You should feel significantly better the day after you got your root canal. There may be a minor bruised feeling around the area and on your cheek for a few days, because of the Novocaine, but it shouldn't be more than that.

If your tooth, gums, cheek, or jaw feel worse the next day or the pain is not going away, you need to call your dentist back and let him/her know. There may be something else going on that your dentist should be aware of.

If your dentist does not take your complaint seriously, consider calling another dentist for a second opinion.

Best of luck!

If it lasts more than a day- go back...you have a problem I'd say...it took 4 hours for me to feel something...then id say there was some discomfort for about an hour to two...maybe after a meal that same day...next day was fine...hope this helps!
Hmm, I know this isn't answering, but I'm supposed to get a root canal sooner or later. But the dentist says I have to wait a while.

I've only gotten a filling, right now.
But I'd say maybe a few days? I dunno.
