What is good for a tongue burn?

Question:
I burned my tongue eating very hot soup then on top of that burnt it more drinking coffee later the same day..lol! What is good to put on it for pain and if possible for healing?

Answers:
I think time may be the only thing you have for healing your tongue. There are sore throat sprays you could try, but don't last long. The oral mucosa heals quite fast. Just stay on a cool food / drink diet until better.
I have had that experience many many times and the only thing that can take it away is time.
Cold water, ice and toothpaste.
milk... excellent.. just swirl it around your mouth for awhile until it doesnt taste so good then take another sip and do the same
