I loved my patches, when they stuck. I finally had to change meds as during summer months no swimming they would come off, no good. Anyway your question, I was told by my dr that if you call the company that makes the patches they would send you Tegaderm patches, these are very sticky clear,like saran wrap, patches that go over the top of the duragesic patch, I bought my tegaderm,or other maker, patches from ebay and amazon.com. Some people have really bad skin to make the duragesic patches stick. I got tired of it after about a yr, the second time. Good luck.

I work in the medical department of a correctional facility at the county level. On a rare occasion we have an inmate on a Fentanyl patch. We date and initial the patch, put it on and cover it with two pieces of 2" wide tape and date and initial that so to answer your question try being sure your skin is clean and dry. Put on the patch and cover with tape.
