Whats the medical reason?

my pinky fingers are crooked. they don't hurt, they have been like this since i was born, and my grandpa and mom have the same.

I saw the pictures. It is not noticiable. you would have to bring attantion to it then the person would have to look good to see the crooked part. I'm bet 99 percent of people would not notice it.
but to answer your question... I am not a doctor but it seems to me that it would be the same medical cause that a child would resemble a parent; purely genitics. if your grandfather and mother have this same feature it stands to reason it was genetically passed down to you.
everyone has slight genetic mutations that are specific to them that are passed down from grandparents to thier parents then to them; just as you will pass down traits to your kids.

the picture links scared me. I thought I was going to see some ugly knarly hands with some really messed up crooked fingers or something. but you have nice hands with normal fingers.
