What do I do when someone is choking on their food?
Question:
Answers:
Make sure when they spit the food out - you throw it in the bin.
To ensure this does not occur again in the future make sure you're not eating a souvlaki when reading the KPMG results - depending which n'work you are may depend on whether you choke or not.

I hope someone isn't choking on food right now and this question is purely for knowledge!

go behind the person, hold their stomach with both hands like you're hugging someone from the back.
then you have to pull their body towards you ( kinda like a hump )
seriously, that's what you do.
It is called the Heimlich maneuver:
Step OneStand behind the victim and wrap your arms around him.
2Step TwoPlace your fist with the thumb against the victim's upper abdomen, above the navel but below the ribs and breastbone. Clasp the other hand over the fist.
3Step Three Click to enlargePush your fist forcefully into the abdomen with a quick upward and inward thrust (see A). This pushes air from the lungs up into the windpipe to dislodge the foreign object.
4Step FourRepeat several times if necessary.
5Step FiveIf the victim passes out, hold his tongue with one hand while you reach two fingers from the other hand into the back of the throat. Remove the foreign object if possible. Make sure not to push it farther down into the throat.
6Step Six Click to enlargeIf you can't remove the object, lay the person on his back and straddle him. Place the heel of your hand on the abdomen with your other hand on top of it. With your elbows locked straight, push forcefully with a quick downward and forward thrust (see B). Attempt to clear the airway with several thrusts.
7Step SevenSeek medical attention for the victim after performing the Heimlich maneuver to ensure that it didn't cause any internal damage.
Hope I help!

heimlich manouvre is what that guy said...where you go behind the person put your arms round them and clench your fist then wrap your other hand round it and swiftly and firmly pull ur fist inwards and upwards. would help if you learnt that technique on a first aid training course though!
make sure there is nothing blocking the airwaves in the throat and gently rub the back and ask them to sip some water
step 1: go to google and find the american heart association's website.
step 2: take a cpr course
