Does getting you belly buttion pierced hurt?

Question:
my mom told me i could get my belly button pierced when i turn 16, or 15, does it hurt?

Answers:
Yes, of course. It's over pretty quick, though.
No, it tickles.
Let me tell you, it is one of the least painful pericings you can get on your body.
I've never had one but I'm thinking that since there will be a needle going through skin (not to mention blood) I bet it will hurt some.
mmmmmmmm no its like if you get ur
lip or ear pierced just taked lil longer to
get through considering the piercing tool
it curved
yap, it is the most painful piercing, and the danger of infections is the biggest.
A little. It will hurt more if it gets infected so you have to be prepared to keep it really sterilized for several weeks.
Yes very much and you have to be so careful with infections. I know plenty of people that had severe infections requiring medication and doctors visits and extreme pain. Of course this doesn't happen to all belly buttons. But I hear that a belly button infection is dangerous.
yes it hurts, but not for long
It hurts as much as anyother pircing pinch area going to be pierced as hard as you can to see how much it hurts. It actually does work, my dad told me to do that to my ears when i got my second set of holes in my ears and i didn't believe him and it actually did work
they put a whole in your body. it isn't going to be pain free, but there is normally just fat that they go through... it isn't like you are getting your tounge or eyebrow where it is hard to get at.
yes it does but i recomend you don't get it .. you can get an infection if you don't get it done at the right place
no it doesnt but u cant get it dirty or get it wet in a lake or something. but hey it looks great
I had my belly pierced and it happened so quick I didn't really feel pain. It was like a quick pinch.. For me, No there's no pain. I suppose everyone is different though..
It shouldnt hurt that much - it really depends on the person so its hard to say but the pain is over really quickly from experience the tongue hurts the least (for me no pain at all - till the next day when the tongue swells then it hurts a lot) the navel though does hurt a little but its very bareable and is over in seconds so I wouldnt worry about it.

Make sure you have eaten and have a sweet drink with you as sugar in your system and food in your system makes you less likely to have any reactions like dizziness or fainting (mainly from stress or worry)

Just be aware that the navel is a piercing that can be the hardest to heal you MUST follow the aftercare instructions to the letter and be aware that the navel can take up to 9 months to heal so dont be in any huge hurry to change the jewellery so choose some jewellery that you dont mind having in for some time.
Does it hurt to put a big guage needle through any part of your body? Well, the answer is always going to be yes!
i have my belly button pierced and i am really bad with pain, and i survived. i feel the worst part of it all is having them clamp your skin, the needle poke is very quick and doesnt hurt really at all, best of luck!
Im 15 and pierced my nipple which turned out find, that did hurt and i wouldnt recommend others to do so.The pain of all piercings is worth it,after a week or too there is no pain left at all.Belly button piercings are extremely popular with girls our age too,so its unlikely it is all that painful.Good luck :)
