Have you had your ears pierced? If you have, a shot will feel like nothing compared to that. Just take a breath and get it over with.
Don't look & try to have your mind focused on something else that always helps me.
I'm afraid of them, many contain mercury which can lead to autism and other just contain a lot of toxins.
This may sound a little dumb and embarassing to do, but I found that humming a song and closing your eyes will help. :D
Really, you'll be disappointed at how little they hurt. Just make sure you use your arms after you get the shots (swimming would be perfect), or they'll be a bit sore the day after.
my mom works in a pediatric office, and she said the needles used now are extremely thin and you should feel very little...take along your ipod (or something similar), let the staff know you are a bit anxious and they will be supportive. Or just grab an interesting magazine and try not to pay attention...good luck!
