When stung by a bee.Why does it hurt for hours?
Question:
I still have pain in the area of bee sting.
Answers:
because the poison/venom they injected under your skin is not all gone - plus, you got STUNG! It does hurt. I got stung by a bee (or a wasp) a week or so ago - it hurt (ached) for several days. It wasn't killing me, but it was really achy. Try and advil/Motrin/Tylenol - it will help ease some of the pain.
If you don't get the stinger out, it will continue to pump venom into you.
The are you were stung in gets swollen and the blood is circluating around it which results in pain, hope you feel better!
its normal
The stinger is probably still in your skin, and the bee injects a venom that can last for several hours or even days. I was told as a child that you can mix baking soda & water to form a past that will draw out the stinger & venom. Apply the thick paste to the sting and let it dry. Repeat as needed.
cuz it does
There is venom in bee stings. That is why it hurts long after the sting occurs.
You need to be careful removing the stinger as there is a pouch of venom on the end and when you brush the stinger off the pouch stays in the skin. It is this pumping through your blood stream and the fact that your skin has been punctured that is painful. It is like having a needle, the injection site of the needle can hurt for a while after being stung/pricked.
Put some cold compresses on the area and try not to get your heart pumping too fast or it will pump the poison around your body faster.
Hope this helps.
Sometime if the poison of the bee is strong it may pain for a long time. Here are some Natural Home Remedies for stings.
It still hurts because the bee stuck you with a venom-pumping needle. You'll be fine. If you were allergic to it, that'd be a different story, but allergic reactions occur almost immediately and you were stung several hours ago.
Maybe it hurts still because the bee happened to sting you directly in a nerve.
did you get the stinger out? chances are you didn't. and if it was bee or wasp? which one? it matters cause if you have the stinger in it should really hurt and it will and sometimes if you are allergeic to it that is reason. it should swell up and be very painful.
