after they put the stitches in how long sholud it hurt for? days, a week? i just got em today on my thumb

depends on how long it take you to heal? usually a few days
I had some when I was a kid and I remember it hurt like a week. IT all depends where the location is and how many you have.
i have stitches in my mouth right now, and they still hurt from a week ago. im not sure if these two heal similarly, but i would guess about 2 weeks. everyone heals differently though!

Stitches shouldn't be sore.
They'd be sore if you have an infection of if the sutures are too tight.
