How can I make the swelling on my lip go down due to a cold sore?

Question:
I got a cold sore 3 days ago. I've gotten them plenty of times, so I began to put Carmex, a lip balm, on it. A few days before, I was hit in the lip with a soccer ball :(, and my lip on the right side swelled. Now, with my new cold sore, the left side of my lip has began to swell, too. Let me just say that I now have a GIGANTIC bottom lip. What helps swelling quickest?

Answers:
ICE , THATS ALL I CAN SAY, OR IBUPROFEN, IT SHOULD BRING DOWN THE SWELLING
deal with it
ICE
Well you could try ice. Another helpful thing for cold sores too is ice. Try putting vitamin E on your cold sore too.
put a cucumber slice on it... I'm not kidding, they relieve swelling. Thats why people put them on their eyes, it makes the bag look less swelled.
I have found the best thing is to just NOT TOUCH IT! Don't touch it with your fingers, don't touch it with your tongue and try to avoid food touching it. Clean it off and apply neosporin on the sores, then take a bayer (helps with inflammation)

goodluck!!
Troxevazin, Indovazin or Dolobene gel. Ice... knowing that you damaged your lip with cold...I ususally use Dolobene because it's more modern. Troxevazin is ok too
Have you tried Herpecin for cold sores ? It works really well !!
I'd say ice for the swelling, or you could use hemorrhoid ointment. I know, gross, but models use it to shrink their skin tissues, and I have used it for puffy eyes myself.
