Go to sleep really late, wake up early??

Question:
Why is it that I can stay up really late [2 - 3am] and ALWAYS wake up right at 11:00am?
This has been happening for the last 2 weeks, earlier in the summer I'd go to bed at 2am and wake up at 2 - 3pm...

Answers:
Do you usually go to bed at 2am? Or did that just start in the summer?

You may have been exhausting yourself by staying up late so you ended up sleeping in longer. Now that your body is used to going to bed at that time you're not going to sleep as tired, and as a result you don't need as much sleep.
well if u get a job then you'll wake up when your suppose to.
haha i no i do the same thang idk maybe its juz cuz ur used 2 wakin up at 11
lol i got 2 sleep at 5 and wake up at 2 or 3 ur not that bad
same thing happens to me..idk but that won't last long tho, i used to do that, now i wake up at 2PM or 3PM..
your special in your own way
I think the avrage time for a good nights sleep is 8 hours, 2-3am to 11am is 8-9 hours so it's probably just that your body feels like it's getting enough sleep. You might have been more tired in the beggining of summer or something like that.
Well 2-11am is 8 hours, so I guess you're biological clock finally got back to normal. You were probably really tired from the Winter and Spring and needed a little period where you slept a lot, but now you're body is telling you that you only need 8 hours.
no i tend to sleep really early and wake up late.
As you age you need less sleep.

Also, if you are less active you need less sleep.

Certain age groups need lots more sleep. Like young men between 15-21.

Certain age groups need much less sleep. Like Senior Citizens who get 6-7 hours sleep every night.

I personally, go to bed at 11PM and wake up at 7AM every day... 5 min before my alarm goes off... it is quite annoying actually. I sort of want that extra 5 minutes. But I have a VERY accurate internal clock and it KNOWS when I have had exactly 8 hours of sleep and I just wake up. But when I was younger... 10-12 hours of sleep quite frequently.
Perhaps your body has an internal timer. I'm the same way but I sleep MUCH less than you do. I go to bed between 1-2am and for some reason ALWAYS wake up right around 7:50am. Its like an alarm clock goes off in my head to wake me up. I feel well rested and get up for the day.. Some people do well on 8-10 hours of sleep but I have found I am best at 6 hours, and too many hours make me lazy and want to sleep in too long giving me an unproductive day. You should try tweaking your sleeping schedule and access how you feel throughout the day to see what amount of hours is best for you too. My thoughts would be that a few weeks ago you were sleeping too much and as strange as it sounds, you were actually more tired from too much sleep.
Well 11 AM is not early. AT ALL. When I was in college, 9 AM was early, 10 AM was acceptable, and 11 AM was getting lazy.

Nowadays I have to wake up at 7 AM so I can get to work at 8 AM and its a total *****. I'd be much happier if I could wake up around 10-11.
