Should Ben Cousins suffer further pain ?

Question:
Does this footballer need to discuss further about his fall from grace ?

Answers:
i am a recovered meth (ice) addict.

what cheeses me off is that he has been given his life back with the only consequence being a pay cut and he STILL earns a whole load of money. Whereas i (and others in my position) have not been afforded the same opportunities. he is in the public eye, so to people who haven't been in my position, it just looks like "oh, you can do a bad thing, and everyone will forgive you - and suffer barely any consequences apart from going through rehab".

sorry sweetheart, this is not the case with the 'average' person.

i lost my job, my friends and essentially, my life and it's now three years after being 'clean' and i'm still rebuilding my life.

so yeah, why not? he got his life back with very little financial consequence, why not suffer a little bit of personal shame. I know he's had a pay cut, but he still earns far more than the average person.

i, and many others in my posittion have had to build our lives over from scratch, without the benefit of a six figure pay packet.

he should surely show as much humility, if he cannot show humility financially.
