I got my cartilage pierced and it turned purple its been more than 12 weeks! will it go away?

It sounds as though the piercer hit a nerve. I had the top of my ear pierced when I was 15. They hit a nerve but all I got was tiny red capillaries through my ear that haven't gone away. The danger with getting ear cartilage pierced is if they hit the wrong nerve it can blind you. Or cause you to lose a sense of taste or smell. Go back to where you got it pierced and ask them what their opinion is.

PURPLE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL!! 12 weeks is 3 months, and it could be infected. Go and see a doc asap before it could progressivly get worse
