i used expired eye wash called soothing collyrium for fresh eyes made by baush (its an eye wash) its been expired for a year and i didnt relize it and i used about a quater of a 118 mL bottle to just clean my eyes. A couple of seconds later my eye started to irratate and is now bloodshot and stings? Is this bad? am i going to go blind or something. I used it on both eyes but only 3 drops for one eye and about 20 drops for the other. The one i used 20 drops for is the one that i described. Is it bad that the bottle expired? HELP im nervouse

Typically with prescriptions, they lose potentcy after their experation date. However, I'm not sure if that goes for eyedrops. You should probably play it safe, since you are dealing with your eyesight. Call your family doctor.

An expired bottle could have bacteria growing in it and could cause an infection. You may need to see your doctor tomorrow and get your eyes seen.
