What is this lower [right] back pain?
Question:
I started taking some medication my doctor had once prescribed to me for infections, but I was wondering if someone else could else hint or guess at what it is before I freak even more.
The pain itself is felt on my lower back, to the right side, and I can sort of feel it on my lower abdomen, too; mainly on the right. My abdomen feels slightly sore, but I'm guessing it's an infection [I'm capable of getting urinary infections or any other kind of infections because my appendix burst a couple of years back].
Any idea? Help?
Answers:
It could be a U.T.I. (urinary tract infection). Or kidney stones. Have you tried drinking cranberry juice? Along with quite a bit of water?Look at your urine. It should be almost clear. If you're having allot of cramps it could be stones. You should probably go to the doctor. After you've used the same antibiotics several times they lose the effectiveness. Sorry you are feeling yucky.
see ur primary md, and hav urself checked, maybe urinalysis, and comprehensive lytes panel to check your kidneys. u might need a renal doctor but see ur family physician first and after ur tests he will decide if he will refer u to a renal specialist. u probably need tests like, creatinine clearance, where u have to collect ur urine for 24 hours, or just 4 hours.. also u might need renal ultrasound.
