Uhm, a few weeks ago while playing volleyball i...?

Question:
jumped up to spike & landed on my left ankle when it was crooked, like so that the outside of my ankle was facing the ground. then i walked it off & kept playing despite the pain. i iced it and wrapped it for soccer and volleyball. & it went away.
but now like 2 weeks later, its really sore when i run and it feels like my bones are rubbing together and it kinda makes a clicking noise. (& it hurts when i roll my ankle in a circle). i have a soccer tournament this weekend so i need it to be healed. did i reinjure it or just hurt it more than i thought the first time?
should i sit out of soccer this weekend?

Answers:
Even the most mild ankle sprain takes 4-6 weeks to truly heal. Normally you start to feel real good at about 2-3 wks but the ligament is not completely healed at that point. You need to protect the ankle in the next 4-6 wks either with an ankle brace or tape to allow the ligament to heal. It is important to note that after healing you should not rely on tape or a brace b/c that only makes your ankle muscles weaker and then you are more prone to sprain the ankle with just walking around.
it sounds like you hurt it pretty bad. it could be fractured, or broken. you should see a doctor right away. i hope you get better soon!!
go to the bloody vet and get him to look at it dont play super woman (you aint)
OUCH! that sounds painful. you may have fractured the bones, or dislocated one(the reasone its clicking and rubbing). Even a minor sprain can take up to 8 weeks to completly heal. the best thing to do is RICE...rest, ice, compress, and elevate. also, try to get into an orthopedic. i think sitting out would be a great idea. i know how much you want to play, but if you want to be able to play again, go have it checked out! the worse it could be is he will wrap it and tell you not to play this tournament. just go there to support your team! I hope you feel better!
