What are the systoms of a pulled muscle?
Question:

it sounds more like a pulled muscle. They do hurt quite a bit, and the muscle may twitch. It burns because it is trying to repair itself but because of the irritation of the muscle itself, theres a lot more blood in the injured area than there normally would be which causes the nerves to become irritated causing pain.. Which is also why its swollen. Numbness and tingling indicate partial blood flow is being restricted to your thumb and forefinger, again, because of the inflammation. Take a pain reliever/ swelling reducer to alleviate the numbness and pain. Dont do any heavy lifting for a few days and put some ice on your arm. rotate 20 minutes with the ice on and 20 minutes off for extra pain and swelling reduction.
If the pain or numbness either get worse or dont get any better in the next week, consult with your personal care physician.
It takes time to heal but go see a doctor to see what you can do for it
You nailed it! What your describing is a pulled muscle. Just take it easy with your no heavy lifting for awhile and put take some ibuprofen for pain. If it doesn't start feeling better in about a week go talk to the doctor.
What you're describing sounds like a pulled muscle, althought it'd probably be better if you explained what you were doing before you got that pain.
Pulled muscles are relativly simple and not too severe so there's no cause for worry.
My suggestions are for you to relax your arm and avoid heavy lifting or any sort of motion in general. Maybe take a hot bath. Warm water will help sooth and relax your muscles and it will provide alot of relief. Then just take some advil and relax. The pain should go away within a week or so.
Hope you feel better!
