Spider bite?
Question:
Answers:
Do you know what kind of spider bit you? Or did you see the spider that bit you? If it was a black spider with a thick body or a brown spider with a thick body, then chances are it was a poisonous spider (brown recluse or black widow). Generally, getting bit by such a spider can cause itching (on the bite spot and sometimes all over the body), the throat to close in, and sometimes it can cause difficulty breathing, hives, and other severe reactions depending on how allergic you are to the bite.
The best thing to do, if you don't have any other symptoms is take 2 Benadryl caplets or tablets. Get a good night's sleep, if you wake up feeling itchy or your throat feels closed in, not sore, but closed in, get to a doctor or the emergency room immediately. If your throat feels closed in, as in tight (not just sore) then go to the emergency room tonight.
Yes, it can cause a sore throat. Here's what you do. You take a needle, dip it in rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, and stick it in the wound where the bite was. Ensure to stick it in far enough (about a half inch) Then, you want to squeeze the wound really hard until you get all the puss and blood out of there (the infection). After that, scrub the wound with soap and water and put some ointment on the wound like neosporane. Then, cover it up with a band aid. Check the wound out in two days. If it is still puffy, repeat procedure over again. This works all the time because you get all the infection out by squeezing it out. And the ointment prevents infection
Its possible that you may have an allergic reaction to the bite ,but normally you get the reaction around the effected area.my thought would be have a doctor check you out, just to make sure and if you happen to have caught the spider with you to get it identified, hoprfully its just a coincidence
I definitely think that it could be due to the spider bite. This just happened to a friends daughter, and she ended up spending 2 weeks in the hospital due to some kind of blood infection from the bite.
If you notice any other symptons, PLEASE go to the doctor. The first answerer may or may not be an EMT, and at home self care like that should only be performed if you yourself are a doctor.
