Urinating blood?

Question:
My friend has had abdominal pains for a few weeks even months now.. and he recently got a CAT scan and found out that it was a torn abdominal. Ever sence he received the CAT scan he started urinating blood.. which at first we thought it might have been the dye from the scan but now its 2 weeks later and its still happening. There is no other pain besides his ab muscle. What could it be?

Answers:
YES! You were probably right- he's probably having a horrible reaction to the dye they used. He needs to go to the doc ASAP and tell them what's been going on though. Some people react so poorly to the dye that it really damages their kidneys. I've seen this several times with patients I have transported!
The liver might be dying or cut
go to the emergence room right now!!
It is best that he seek the advice of a physician since he has a pre-existing medical condition.
sounds like doctor time an not yahoo time
in all seriousness this sounds very much like an infection in the bladder, tell your friend to drink plenty of water and consult a doctor for further advice
Quite possibly it is "Myoglobinuria" that he is seeing. Tell a medical professional and get tested for follow up.
it could be a kidney problem or testicul;ar cancer some how if its testi cancer he should check for a bump in one of his nuts or just go to a doctor
