I'm having severe pain in my thigh.?

Question:
I have a severe pain in the back of my thigh and I woke up with it this morning. It's not a muscle strain or anything like that. I haven't been doing physical activity ( as I'm a lazy bum). When I touch my skin in that area the pain increases but there is also a deeper, constant pain. I know I didn't sleep wrong, or injure myself in anyway. What could this pain mean. I've had it all day. When I took a shower this morning even the hot water caused my skin to burn. Anybody got a good explanation for this?

Answers:
I would worry about a blood clot.
Please see a doctor immediately, especially if the area is swollen, hot, or red. Does it hurt when you bend your leg at the knee or hip?

Please...see a doctor ASAP. This might or might not be something serious. Good luck to you and I hope it's nothing serious.
I would call your doctor. sounds like you could of just pinched a nerve. but if the pain is thats severe, its best to get a professional opinion.
it mite be something with your skin tissue. i would go to a doctor. its not muscle or skeletal if you are not limping, so it had to be something with your skin. get it checked out very soon, and good luck with that.
^You can get a muscle spasm without exercising, sometimes drinking more water helps. Remember by the time you are actually thirsty you are already dehydrated.

It could also be neuropathy, usually this condition is associated with diabetes, but you can get neuropathy even if your not diabetic. I hope you feel better soon.
