I am 14 and my dad has basically got shingles i enjoy not had chicken pox . My relatives imagine its best that i get it very soon then next in go where it is more scratchy. I found out that you can only carry shingles when the spots have blistered. is this true?? Obviously i live beside my dad so how can i avoid getting chicken pox?? any ideas

Answers:    Shingles is a reactivation of chickenpox. It is infectious, as chicken pox. This is difficult to avoid if you are living within the same house.
There is a vaccine for chicken pox, which I bet you own had.
