Only my right knee hurts?

Question:
Today, I was exercising and jumproping. My right knee hurts whenever I walk so I have to limp. But my left knee is fine. Is it because of the jumproping?

Answers:
The same thing happens to me. I try to do what I can to avoid going to the doctor so, I started icing my knee 3 times a day for 20-30 minutes. It helped tremendously. I don't know what caused the pain but I was told by a personal trainer to strengthen my quads and hams.
I have that same problem and I am 25 yrs old with arthritis in my knee! Hopefully that's not your problem. Don't do things that are hard on your knees. Instead of jumproping swim or use an elliptical trainer. Don't run either. Do lower impact exercises next time you go back to the gym. Ice your knee (if you can prop it up while icing it then that's even better), take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen, and when you start to feel better do exercises to strengthen the muscles in your legs so that not as much stress is placed on the joint itself. You probably have a problem with some cartiledge in that knee. Basically, the cushioning between your bones may not be as thick as it should. If you keep being hard on your knee, it can turn into osteoarthritis (which stinks!).
