I'm sure it's painful, I haven't had it done, but most people say it hurts fairly badly and most of the pain goes away within a day.
well for a few days but just keep putting otmen on it and it shouldnt hurt that bad!
Holy crap like little girls get piercing so it can't be that bad!

Well I had both of mine done. Have you ever had your ears pierced before? If so, it feels like the others. It doesn't really hurt but it will burn and feel hot for awhile. It will also be sore and hard to sleep on for like a week.

I had my cartilage pierced and it didn't hurt at all. I also have a higher tolerance for pain because my navel piercing didn't hurt either.
The reason I left my cartilage close was because it was a very high maintenance piercing. It interfered with my sleeping position, how I bushed my hair, how I put on shirts...all around it was more trouble than it was worth.
Maybe you will have better luck.
i havnt done it... but my friend did.. i was there with him. it sounded like he was awake during surgery... DONT DO IT
yes it does hurt, more than getting your lobe pierced, and it could hurt for many days, depending on who pierces it for you. I would recommend to get it pierced by a pro or someone who has a lot of experience w/ piercing cartilage because if they pierce the wrong part of the cartilage, then you could have an infection that can last a couple weeks or so... Just keep putting on some rubbing alcohol or (if they give you) an ointment (use it...) and the ear will only hurt for a few days :)

I have a low tolerance for pain and i got it done a few months ago. i was so scared i iced it with ice out of a cup from wendys (: she was ready to do it . i thought she pinched my ear she goes okay done. i'm like what! So your friend is on something (;
but no, it doesnt hurt at all. just the fact you can't sleep on your sides :x which will suck if your getting both sides done.

you kno i dont know if it was b/cuz i was young but that shyt hurt so bad. i was in 6th grade. its nothing like getting a tattoo but i dont know. ive had my lip pierced a couple times by my self and i dont know which one hurt worse, that or the cartlidge.
anything peircing your body is going to hurt... thats a givin.. the pain level is how much you tollerate it.. and its prolly going to hurt for about a week or so.. keep it clean and GO FOR IT!!
