I have extremely limited TMJ jaw movement but essentially no pain, is this weird?

Question:
I have extremely limited jaw movement but essentially no pain. Is this abnormal, why is it that my jaw is screwed up and cracks and clicks but doesn't hurt more? I also have this thing where my lips hang open all the time, which got worse after I tried stretching my jaw open. Any tips or ideas?

Answers:
Read up on John E Sarno, he has a lot of success of treating people with TMJ problems. You must treat the root cause of your symptoms.
Coming from someone that let their TMJ go untreated for YEARS..GO TO A DENTIST!!
I had surgery done over a year ago for the TMJ, they put a screw in on one side, and sanded the bone down on the other. Now I am supposed to wear braces and a splint to correct my bite, then after awhile of that supposed to have another surgery done to bring the lower jaw out.
The pain will probably come back after awhile, I just tell people to take care of this before it gets worse. Good luck!!
