I just got my tonsils out and my throat hurts. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Actually steer clear of ice cream. Dairy products will produce phlem and actually make your throat more uncomfortable. Stick to popsicles, italian ice, cold juice, water, gatorade, etc... When my boyfriend had his tonsils out, in addition to his prescription pain meds, he also took liquid tylenol and put it in the fridge. It helped so much and felt nice and cool when he took it. I hope you feel better soon!
Take a prescription dosage of either ibuprofen or naproxen and suck on a popsicle or eat some ice cream.
ICE CREAM
Ice Cream, Jello, Shaved Ice
Just take the usual painkillers and eat very soft foods - cold. Ice cream is ideal.
i ll suggest u to take light n cold food like ice cream n else but take ur medicines on time n dont shout a lot as it affect a lot so chill out for sum days as it gets better.....okay.
Taking too many pain medications for mouth and throat pain sometimes just isn't enough, and can do more harm to your health over-all, than good.]
