I just had otoplasty done about 3 days ago. The pain isnt the bother, but what is, is the itching and burning sensation. I do have a rather large bandage over my head, but thats not really causing me any discomfort. Has anyone else heard that when cuts or insitions heal, they itch? Thanks for any imput

ive had 3 surgeries on my stomach for sumthin and they all itched like crazy!! but dont itch it can leave scars or make it even worse
The itching sensation is normal as wounds start to heal. Not much you can do about it.
Yes, wounds do itch when they start to heal. Have you tried putting Neosporin on the wound? Make sure you get a new tube and do not let the gel become contaminated by touching it with your fingers. Put it on by using sterile cotton pads. The itching will get better in a few days, I know it's irritating!
