Is it true that cracking your knuckles gives you arthritis?

Question:
some people say its a myth and that when you crack your knuckles, all it does is release air bubbles from your joints but im wondering if that's the truth. when i crack my knuckles a lot, they start hurting. what could be the cause of that?

Answers:
I really don't know for sure. What I do know is that your joints have fluid in them and arthritis is that fluid becoming "diseased" from use, etc. Popping your knuckles directly effects that fluid so I guess it's a possibility. I'm not sure about "femme fatal"s answer because she used backs, and necks for examples and those are areas that are very common for arthritis.
So, I guess it's still a myth to me, but I can tell you this.I have arthritis and if there is any way to avoid it, you should do it. Because I never had any idea how bad it hurts and affects your every day life, and I'm only 43.
Sorry, I wasn't much help, huh.
I hope not lol! But my friend always did it to mee at now i have fat knuckles lol!
Absolutely NOT! Do not beleive this myth. Why?? Because there is no proof for this, and some studies have shown that there is no conclusive evidence for it. People crack their backs and necks all the time, no one says that they would get arthritis, cracking your figures is just the same.

Yup your knuckles hurt because just like any part of your body if your irritate your joints, there is going to be some pain. They do fill with air, and this may cause the knucles to swell a little, because of it this has many people beleiving that this myth is the truth.
