Sharp Intermittant Pain in Left Side just below my ribcage... Serious answers only please...?

Question:
I have been to a doc, and they will not give me any answer. About every 30 to 60 seconds I get a sharp-squeezing pain in my left side, just below my ribcage. SOmetimes it radiates front to back, others it is a small point. I honestly have no idea what it is, and I guess my doc isn;t interested in figuring it out... any ideas?

Answers:
The liver , spleen and pancreas all reside on the right side of the body, as you described. If you're not getting any satisfaction from your current doctor, find another one. Even if you have to keep "doctor hopping" until you find someone who will listen. A simple blood test can be done to make sure these organs are functioning as they should be. I would try to seek help from an internal medicine doctor, or a gastroentrologist.
Could be anything. I would go to another doctor, the first one isn't always right.

Doctors are like mechanics, they are only honest when a lot of money is involved. If the pain is consistent, and doesn't seem to go away, you might have an ulcer in your stomach. Seriously. Or it might be a stomach virus, or a tape worm. Go to a better doctor. Be willing to pay. Your health is your #1 priority.
May be you have some gastric problem. Actually you moving pain suggests so. So take less carbo food and consult a homeopathy physician.
It could be pancreatitis among other things. Check this out: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/familyprac...
you need a cat scan or something cuz my grandpa got cancer and they thought it was just some stomach thing and told him to take tums. so he did and it didn't go away so he went back into the doctor and they found cancer. it was too late and he died so you gotta go get that checked out.
