Back pain?

Question:
I'm only 17 and I have this back pain that wont go away. I woke up with this pain yesterday morning and I didn't think it was much because i thought I just slept wrong. But i woke up this morning and it seems to have gotten a little bit worse. I feel the pain kinda in my spine whenever i bend over or when i lift my arms up. Should i be concerned or should i just try to sleep it off?

Answers:
If you aren't better by Wednesday, call an orthopedic and let them take a look. Good luck!
go to a chiropracter
Wait for a couple of days, take a pain killer (Bayer's back and body pain is a good one if you can take aspirin) and if it doesn't stop or if it gets worse, ask your mom or dad to take you to the doctor.

The sooner these things are taken care of, the better.
.
Most episodes of back pain (especially in young people) will work themselves out over the next few days. However, pain that is accompained by other medical problems such as fever, rash, painful or difficulty urinating, or difficulty with your digestive system should be evaluated by a physician to rule out medical problems.

Furthermore, if you pain begins to worsen rather than get better, or begins to travel into the extremities, it could be a back problem that needs further evaluation. At a time like this, it would probably be appropriate for your physician to refer you to physical therapy.

As of now, my best advice is to rest for no more than one more day and use good body mechanics (ie, sit with good posture, no slouching, pick up only light objects and do it by bending your knees and not your back).
Go to a chiropractor, in your town!!!!!!
