I find drinking "weak" Earl Grey tea useful and add a small amount of ginger to it to settle your stomach if you feel sick
like yourself i suffer with frequent long lasting headaches and i too wont take tablets for it.
ive find having a soak in a hot bath with lavender oil in and a glass of warm milk then off to bed helps.
lie down in a dark room and contemplate the improvement you would have had if you had taken 2 paracetamol.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Dr. Frank has a point, however, as you wish to avoid using oral medications. The best non-medicinal remedy I have found for headache involves taking biofeedback training. But as you have a headache at this time and no time for training here is an exercise you can try.
Lie down or recline in a darkened room, if you like music play something soothing in the background (for biofeedback I am particularly fond of new age instrumentals) close your eyes and try to relax, think about trying to relax your muscles starting in the feet and working your way up the body. As you begin to relax, imagine in your mind a peaceful place you would like to be, a mountain lake, or my favorite a tropical island, imagine the sounds, the breeze, maybe even swinging slowly in a hammock. As you relax you may find the headache will ease off.
Unfortunately, during a headache is not the best time to try this, but I have had success with imagery/biofeedback techniques for headaches and even labor pain.
It may help.
If you continue to get headaches, especially if you cannot control the pain with paracetamol, you should look into seeing a health care provider. IF the headache does not go away soon and you feel it is the worst headache of your life, you should probably seek emergency assistance.
Otherwise, start a headache diary, one can be found at www.headaches.org under the resources section, keep track of your headache symptoms. Also at the same site see the pdf on how to talk to your headache doctor. The information you provide by following these can make diagnosis and proper treatment of your headaches quicker. There may also be some very effective natural preventative measures for headaches, such as feverfew, but you need to get the headache under control before they will work well.
Regarding the advice from dbgyog, I am reasonably sure you cannot find any of the remedies he recommends at the corner pharmacy. However, the accupressure technique he decribes I have used as well as pressure on the web space between the thumb and hand on the affected side, worth a try if nothing else helps.
By the way, I have had severe headaches for years which I can stop with biofeedback and have controlled and decreased the occurance of with medications, so there is hope.
Good luck with your headaches. You will be in my thoughts
Drinks loads of water and have a mug of ginger and lemon tea, available from a health food shop, Heath and Heather is a good make; Try Holland and Barret. Wear sunglasses when out in the sun. The computer screen won't help either!?
