Back Problems??

As a chiropractor, I understand totally about you having a hard time at work. I think the steps you are taking are proper as well.
I do also hope that the doc and the clinic are educating you as to what and how you got the way you are.
If your spine is weak, and the muscles and supporting structures cannot withstand what you do to yourself during the day-then a change must be made.
Stretching (the yoga or pilates idea was great!) and simple movements to aid in recovery are essential.
Bottom line--there is no line of work that cannot affect you, if your spine is weak.
I would also consider looking at orthotics for your shoes (support for your legs and low back)--and I am NOT talking about anything you might get at a pharmacy or supermarket. Properly fitted and made ones specifically to aid YOUR problems.
I am sorry you are going thru this, but there is hope!
keep at it!!

My son works at SCE & G in Charleston, S. C. and makes very good money...Not bad for a college kid
Well, it depends on what job you would like to do, the thing about jobs is that the only good job is one that you love. You could try being a banker, or maybe even a librarian. Anyways, I'm sure you'll find the right job for yourself.
try for a job as an operator or sales person ie: with a telephone company etc where u deal with customers over the phone that way you have the option of sitting while at work and standing only when you feel you have to
Yes I would suggest a job in a call center where you basically sit all day though you will need a good supportive chair or cushion for your back and to get up once inawhile and stretch, but atleast you won't be bending all day.
