I got a mozzie bite nearly 24hrs ago and the swelling has spread further and it got quite bulky, how long .

When you scratch a mozzie bite, any dirt or bacteria that you may have under your nails transfers to the bite. The more you scratch the more you are spreading the dirt in to the bite. It sounds like it's become infected. Clean the bite will surgical spirit. If it still persists then see your doctor.
If the swelling is worsening and travelling up your arm, phone the A&E straight away to ask advice, they may ask you to go in for cardiac tests.
Antihistamines good. Hope your local A&E hasn't been closed down.
One year I was bitten but I thought it might have been the Dorset fly, the swelling increased overnight and started to travel up arm toward heart. The hospital told me to go in for tests. All was ok but is worth getting checked.
the mother in law has got one on her foot,its swelled up like a balloon. shes been to the doc,and said keep it rested and prescribed ant-bio-tics,but she likes her vodka so i take it her foot will be like this for some time. however I've had them loads of times ,including one on my tongue,and man was that pain-full,it'll go down eventually,but if you're concerned go to the quacks.
i get bitten all the time and always get infected on one ask for benadryl one tab should be enough
It could be serious,go to a doctor as soon as possible.You dont want to end up with something like borreliosis/lyme disease,or other complications.
Rest, with your leg up until it subsides. It should go down in a day or two.

hi daughter.I've got a bite 2 on same leg in almost same place,mine just itches but not swollen,if it's not better tomorrow go to urgent care at our new hosp.at least u put a cold flannel on it like i suggested it works doesn't it.
Well she knows all this seeing as we live in same house but it gets me two points and I am her mum.
What about all the bites i had when we went to the Regatta that time shell?
