Does it suck getting hit in the back of the head?

oh i dono, could cause the sudden and permanent situation were you cant move any of your limbs any more for the rest of your life... or if your lucky just death... but that would require a stong punch, and since you hit him when his back is turned... i wouldnt think your that type of guy

Yeah it hurts, but if he is not enough of a friend to know he was coming into your place of business and making you make a hard decision of doing your job or letting him be wild then he deservied it
more than the pain of the blow itself it hurts more because you dont see it coming and then wounded pride ..shamed out in public...thats ouch x 2
I wouldn't know. Its never happened to me, but I suppose it is a little demeaning. You prolly hurt the guy's pride more than his head. But, hey, serves him right if he was making a scene. :)

Now that I've read some of the answers, it seems you could have killed the guy. Hm. I wouldn't use it again if I were you. You could be put on trial for murder if you hit too hard.
I would believe that the blow to the head is painful and could have been dangerous, not only for the person that you hit, but also dangerous for yourself. You are quite fortunate that this person did not return the hit. If this person was causing a "Ruckus", why did you not call the police? Sounds as if you were the bouncer at this bar? Depending on what you hit the person with or even if it was your hand, yes it would work. In some cases, this would legally be called assault. You could have been considered a menace. If you really want to know if it hurt, try to imagine what it feels like. I would suggest that if this situation should occur again that you should control yourself and the situation without anger.Did you just hit him because you wanted to know how it would feel ? There is no logic for hitting someone just to ask him how it felt.It is painful and dangerous. In the future maybe you react without aggression. Just because you work at a bar doesnot give you the right to strike someone unless you feel as though you were in danger of being struck yourself. I do understand why this person doesnot like you any more. Is this not bad for business?
