I hate needles?
Question:
Answers:
Close your eyes and before you know it its over...
Do some deep breathing. Also, ask the doctor if you can lie down for the shot, and then face away from the needle. It will be over before you know it.
Plenty of people are in your shoes. Just look the other way until it is over.
My advice... when you do get a shot, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to try and calm yourself. look away when you are getting the shot, and you won't be as anxious. Also, make sure your arm.. or wherever you get the shot is relaxed and not tense. The shot will be less painful.
I usually just scream..I hate needles too..with a passion.
When you get a shot, it doesnt hurt at all when you get it, it may hurt a little after, but it just feels like you have a bruise. Also try not to tense up your muscles when you get a shot, it might hurt more. Hope all is well!!
Don't watch, it will be a little pinch and then it will be done. It won't hurt and you will be fine. just stay calm.
Needles can be scary but they don't need to be. Only a few millimeteres of the the needle actually goes in and it's just a small sting, which is over in a few seconds. Tell the nurse/doctor that you are nervous and they will do their best to put you at ease. Take slow deep breathes and whatever you do don't look. I am usually fine with needles as long as I don't look and the nurse at my local clinic knows this, but this year the Doctor had to give me my flu shot and he prepared the small device right in front on me and when he sore my tear fille eyes he said "You're not afraid of a little needle are you." and I replied with "No, but I don't like looking." and then he did it real quick and I didn't even feel it.
Just remember to keep breathing and relax
Good luck
