I've never had one but think I will take one this year. I was in the hospital for 4 days earlier this year with pneumonia and if I could avoid that again it would be worth it! I haven't heard of them making your arm sore so maybe it varies with the person. Just remember that it's not as bad as actually having pneumonia.

i wish i had gotten it. in sixth grade i was deadly sick with lower lobe pneumonia. I couldn't stop throwing up! I had to go to the hospital at 8:00 at night. i missed my dance recital. I was supposed to be in 18 dances in the course of three shows!! I had to sleepover the hospital for 2 nights/3 days. It was horrible! I felt so gross, i was hooked up to IV and i had to get several xrays and one cat scan. I had to drink 3 bottles of this drink stuff to coat my stomach for the cat scan. i threw it up once, almost twice.
I just thank god everyday that I'm still alive. Be happy that you got the immunization. I had to suffer because I did not have the proper vaccination.
