Foot problem?

Question:
hey my foot still hurts i have been out of work for 2 weeks already my doctor took x-rays and said that it was a sprained foot i got off my cruches last night but it still hurts to walk on it and its still swellon

Answers:
If you have been off of the foot for two weeks it is perfectly normal for it to be a little sore once you start walking on it again. The tendons and ligaments haven't been stressed much during that time so they tighten up and when you put weight on the foot again they stretch more than they have been used to. You should follow up with you doctor in any case just to ensure that you don't have a stress or hairline fracture.
Have you been a good boy and listened to dr's advice on keeping weight off it, etc.? If not, shame on you for asking when you already know. If not the case, and you have not done anything unreasonable, have your dr. recheck the x-rays for a hairline fracture he could've missed in his preliminary exam of same, as they USED to take time to dry and show completely, and dr.s often went by their initial findings, never re-checking, and this can occur if such is still true of x-rays. Some things just took time to show up in x-rays, I remember this from my youthful injuries, and their subsequent treatments.
