Fourth toe is smaller than fifth?
Question:
I went to the doctor and they said that it is genetics and many people has this problem. I'm really conscious about it, I don't wear flipflops because I'm afraid people might stare at it.
The doctor said I should get surgery but I'm too scared to. He said either I can do a surgery where he gets my pelvic bone and stick it on my toe or stick a medal thing in it.
Please tell me if any of you has my case and has done a surgery like these. I would really appreciate it. And please tell me how long you had to wait for healing and if it was painful. Thank you.

Maybe the following story will help you in your decision and possibly help you to realize that you aren't alone or even that bad off!
I have a friend who has the ugliest feet that I have ever seen and was also told that it was genetic (her father has part of her problem and her mom has the other) and that she should have surgery. Her big toe and third toe touch, pushing her second toe straight up to rest on top of them. Her bunion juts out about half an inch further than any I've ever seen. Her feet are abnormally wide and flat (my hubby has flat feet, too, but not like hers, which almost look rounded!). She also will not wear sandals or thonged flip flops.
She saw a doctor that specializes in feet and he said he would have to break and reset bones, file things down and stitch away.
She decided it was better and less painful to just wear socks! She is still my best friend ever--and she has the biggest and cutest sock collection that I have ever seen!
If it hurts and gets in the way then get the surgery. If it's just embaressment that's leading you to this then forget about it. Like the doctor said, it's a common problem and no one is going to care about what your foot looks like.
